Developed in the earliest days of Complete Group in direct response to parameters requested by the customer, the CTP23 connection features a 2.875” x 1.500” slim tool joint with a max makeup torque of 4600 ft-lbs, all while retaining great handling characteristics and a design specifically resistant to overtorque damage.
Recently 318 joints of 2 3/8” S135 drill pipe fitted with brand new CTP23 connection was deployed on its first commercial fishing operation. The operation was a success; the CTP23 connection performed as-intended with zero recuts required upon inspection of the string.
